The Spearing of Mike Brown

I love being right. I predicted Brown was going to be crucified. (Not that it took a rocket scientist to figure out.)

You have to keep in mind that as much righteous anger as you may have directed toward this guy, it wasn’t him alone who is responsible for all the screwups. And as cathartic as it might feel, impaling Mike Brown doesn’t correct any of the mistakes that led to the poor management of Katrina.

What would really help is a frank look at the two main problems that cuased the poor response:

• Putting FEMA under Homeland Security
• Bush cronyism
