Oh man, greasemonkey is so damn COOL!
Credit to Ian and Wired for informing me about this cool little utility. It took me months to actually install it, but I added user scripts to do things like compare prices on Amazon with Froogle, remove ads from ESPN, and (my favorite) add a built in Babelfish translator. All I have to do is select text while holding the ‘alt’ key and a little window pops up with the translation in English. Awesome for a lazy expat like me who doesn’t want to learn the language.
It’s only for FireFox, but it gives you back control over your browser. That’s really the neatest thing about it. The web is no longer static, you can alter it to suit your preferences.
