The games continue. Last night the Dutch team played Argentina, the toughest team in their pool and a favorite to win the whole thing.

I watched the game with five people. A German, an Irishman, a Canadian, a South African, and me, an American. At one point I looked around and thought, “What the hell are we all doing watching this game that none of us care about?”

I guess that’s why the call it World Cup fever.

From what I could tell it was a good game. Ended in a 0-0 draw. Neither of the teams really had that many good opportunities to shoot on the goal. The Argentinians looked strong and very skilled, but in the end it didn’t translate into any goals.

Knowing nothing about soccer I predict that it will be Germany and Argentina in the final. (I don’t even know if that’s possible due to the structure of the tournament.)
