Dutch vs. Klingon

While we were at lunch the other day with some native Dutch speakers, it emerged from our discussion that there was actually quite a similarity between the Dutch language, and Klingon.

I could not find any immediate proof for this relationship on the Klingon Imperial Dimplomatic Corps‘ website, but I did donate $20 via PayPal to help free General Klurge from the gulag Rurapente. We all know what a piece of crap the Klingon judicial system is. It’s rumored that Kofi Annan will be dedicating his free time to improving human rights there.

It is my personal belief that the Dutch are directly related to the Klingons. After all, they are both very tall and tend to be very rude (using illegal cloaking technologies, ringing the bells on their bicycles far too loudly, etc.). To test this theory, I have put together some examples of both Dutch and Klingon. See if you can tell them apart. I can’t.
