With this I could watch US television remotely while in Europe.

If I connected it to a TiVo as well (which I was extremely proud to be one of the early adopters of) I could finally get to watch some NFL football. Of course, in a year or so TiVo will probably just build this into their system (since they already have a place-shifting technology they support, it’s just not live and not Internet based).

All I need to do is find someone in the states who will let me control their TV remotely from Europe…
