Yeah, we started out with a lot of promise. New player (Ingrid). Some good scores early on. Some good guesses (what is “diplopia”? Answer: double vision. Guess by Brian. Booya.). But somewhere along the way the questions became ridiculously hard and we started sucking, finishing with just 55 points, tying for 9th place (out of 17 teams).
The Beer Hunters (who we have chosen as our nemesis, even though they are all really nice) finished first with 78 points, light years ahead of us and a respectable 8 points in front of second place. Go Beer Hunters. Well done.
The good news is, Ingrid and Ann together got us all our points on the music round (our traditional weakness). Ingrid performed admirably in her debut and we have to give her a big “hoo-ah” for her effort.
Next week we hope to have five and finish top 5.
