The building

Our apartment is in a large converted Victorian mansion called Esmond Gardens. It's right off of a small park called Acton Common. The fact that this is a park where children play doesn't discourage the British drivers from slowing down or giving way at all (in the UK the cars have the right of way - not the pedestrians).
