Pub Quiz – We’re In!

So we only had three tonight, but we had good fun. I have to give Julia the “mad props” she deserves for pulling a couple of fantastic answers out of her butt:

• the finger whose nail grows fastest (middle)
• what you would get in Italy if you ordered “diciotto francobolli” (eighteen stamps. I felt really silly writing that when my inclination that the answer should have been “pasta” or something else edible)

Ann also contributed with some amazing answers, the best one being: “What medal shows three naked men with their arms on each other’s shoulders?” Pretty sure that it wasn’t the Medal of Honor, and that the Olympic medals have different things on them each time, I was out of ideas. Ann told me to put down “Nobel Peace Prize” and I was about to argue when I realized that I didn’t know anyway, so what the hell. Of course, it was right. Way to go baby.

The best news of the night though was when they asked for a representative of the team to come to the front. We thought at first we were going to get a prize for getting the bonus question right. There was a picture round with famous people on it, and we had to guess what they all had in common. Tom Sizemore, Rob Lowe, R Kelly, Pam Anderson, Katie Price, Colin Farrell. I realized pretty quickly that they all had issues with sex tapes, and turns out that was the answer.

Instead of getting a T-shirt though, our rep was told that we had a spot in the national finals on March 11th.

Boo. Ya.
